Whether you need a hire car for your holiday abroad, or simply wish to rent a car for business, Auto Europe want to give you a few tips to make your car hire in France easier.
1. Prior to arriving to your pick up location, review on the booking confirmation and the name of the supplier (e.g. Europcar, Avis, Hertz, etc.)
2. Present your passport, voucher, credit card and driving license. Some countries (especially countries outside Europe) also insist all drivers carry an International Driving Permit.
3. Please check and read the term and conditions with the supplier to ensure no surprise payments when you collect your car (e.g. If you are driving to a different country such as Spain, check your policy covers this.)
4. Ensure the car hire contract includes a very accurate description of the condition of the car (e.g. any damage, scratches, etc.)
5. Check the vehicle is carrying the required safety equipment for the country you are travelling in.
6. Review the fuel policy with the supplier. Normally, all vehicles must be returned full of fuel or you will be charged the refill amount.
